IPLD Buffalo Trip - Dual Printing | Industry Project Development (UB)

Our last experience for the year will be exploring the world of printing, development and processing of content at Dual Printing.  In the afternoon, we will have the opportunity to explore additional final resources and materials for our industry projects to ensure our success for March's finale.

NOTE:  All IPLD Buffalo students are expected to attend this session and wear their IPLD Shirts!

Industry Trip Focus (Feb 17, 2020):

• Printing / Manufacturing
• Industry Materials Research

Dual Printing:  Students will have an opportunity to explore careers and opportunities in the printing industry and manufacturing of products for commercial use.  Students will take a brief tour of the facilities and learn how printers and developers make some of their creative art work for various clients.

Industry Materials Research:  Students will have the opportunity to visit any business required to help them with their materials research and development for their projects.  So if they want to purchase any items, they can do so in the afternoon.

ITINERARY

8:30am                  Student Drop-off:  Meet at Davis Hall (in front of Room 101) at the University at Buffalo

8:30am - 9:00am    Leave / Travel to Dual Printing

9:00am - 12:00pm  Dual Printing Experience

12:00pm - 1:00pm  Lunch

1:00pm - 4:00pm    Industry Materials Research Experience

4:00pm - 5:00pm    Travel back to the University at Buffalo

5:00pm                   Student Pickup:  Meet at Davis Hall (in front of Room 101) at the University at Buffalo

NOTE: Parents will receive a text alert when we are about to complete our experience 

2) Dress Code:  IPLD Shirts / Dress (similar) shoes (priority).  

3)  IMPORTANT:  Please bring a notepad and pen/pencil on this experience!
