This is our second opening industry day experience for the 2019-2020 year with our IPLD Buffalo students. We will explore how to utilize Microsoft technology and software coding to help us animate our industry projects.

About The Event
This is our second opening industry day experience for the 2019-2020 year with our IPLD Buffalo students. We will explore how to utilize Microsoft technology and software coding to help us animate our industry projects.

1) Industry Trip Focus (Microsoft):
- Technology Development
- Video Game / Software Coding & Development
Microsoft: Students will have an opportunity to visit the Microsoft store and learn how to program software to perform various types of animations. In addition, students will have an opportunity to network with their IPLD friends in Maryland through the new Microsoft Surface Hub 2.0 and learn how to utilize Microsoft Teams to collaborate with each other.
Students will also learn about the various career paths and opportunities to venture into the world of Information Technology and Computing with Microsoft as well.
ITINERARY
8:00am Student Drop-off: Meet at Davis Hall (in front of Room 101) at the University at Buffalo
8:00am - 10:00am Industry Training / Project Designs (University at Buffalo)
10:00am - 10:30am Travel to Walden Galleria
10:30am - 12:00pm Industry Research (Apple, Home Depot)
12:00pm - 1:00pm Lunch
1:00pm - 4:00pm Microsoft Video Game, Coding | IT Career Development
4:00pm - 5:00pm Travel back to University at Buffalo
5:00pm Student Pickup: Meet at Davis Hall (in front of Room 101) at the University at Buffalo
NOTE: Parents will receive a text alert when we are about to complete our experience
2) Dress Code: Business Casual Dress (w/ comfortable shoes) (priority). We will be ordering shirts after students vote for their color of shirts during our experience.
3) IMPORTANT: Please bring a notepad and pen/pencil on this experience!
